Can Acupuncture Help You Lose Weight? USNews

OUT WITH THE NEW, IN with the old – or so goes many Americans’ attitudes toward health interventions these days. Modern pharmaceuticals? No thanks. Ancient Eastern medical practices? Yes please.

“Many people are trying to go away from traditional types of medicine and go toward what they consider to be more natural remedies or more … complementary techniques” for a range of health complaints, says Dr. Tiffany Lowe-Payne, an osteopathic physician and weight-loss specialist in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Weight loss is no exception, with therapies including meditation and hypnosis showing potential to support people’s efforts. Why not acupuncture?

Here are some of the ways in which acupuncture may help you lose weight:

– Acupuncture may affect your hormones.
– Acupuncture promotes healthy digestion.
– Acupuncture can relieve stress.
– Acupuncture may reduce cravings.
– Acupuncture can lead to better sleep.
– Acupuncture can boost your energy.”

Clearly there are many compelling reasons to add acupuncture and other natural medicine services to reach your weight loss goals. Here is your link to the entire article.

Does Laetrile (Amygdalin or Vitamin B-17) Work as an Alternative Cancer Cure?

“Amygdalin, quackery or cure?” Amygdalin is a cyanide-containing compound found in apple seeds, but 10 times more concentrated in the seeds of peaches, apricots, and bitter almonds. It can be sold as a derivative called laetrile, advertised with the misnomer vitamin B-17. It gained popularity among cancer patients as an alternative treatment in the 1970s, but the reason there’s this 2016 review, and the reason I’m doing videos about it, is that it has “experienced a renaissance” thanks to the internet.”

It doesn’t look to good for Laetrile proponents according to Dr. Greger. P

New Study Shows That Acupuncture Significantly Increases Pregnancy Rates for Women with Repeated IVF Failure

This is a very interesting paper. This is a very large meta-analysis of over 20 clinical trials with over 5000 patients. The results reveal that acupuncture had a large impact on pregnancy rates. There have been scientific papers in the past which were pro and con in regards to acupuncture as a fertility enhancing treatment, but this data is very supportive:

A recent study published by Mike Armour in Reproductive Biomedicine https://www.rbmojournal.com/article/S1472-6483(18)30675-8/fulltext found that acupuncture increased pregnancy rates and reduced miscarriages in in vitro fertilization (IVF) patients. This systematic review and meta-analysis of 20 trials, involving 5130 women in Italy, Germany, Australia, USA and more, showed that 3 or more acupuncture treatments before an IVF transfer produced more pregnancies compared to no acupuncture (standard of care). The findings suggest that “acupuncture may have a significant effect on clinical pregnancy rates, independent of comparator group, when used in women who have had multiple previous IVF cycles, or where there was a low baseline pregnancy rate.”

Stem cells are really very intriguing.  This new story is one of many wish shows that stem cell treatments can have a positive benefit on Multiple Sclerosis which is one of many neurological conditions which has devastating impact on one’s life:

“A young mother from Anchorage, Alaska, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) more than 10 years ago says an experimental stem-cell treatment has left her “practically symptom-free.”

Amanda Loy was 27 years old when she was first diagnosed with the disease, which typically affects the brain and spinal cord, also known as the central nervous system. MS can be debilitating and there is currently no cure, according to the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation.”

Best Diet for Diabetic Neuropathy: Nutritionfacts.org

“Neuropathy, or damage to the nerves, is a debilitating disorder, and diabetes is by far the most common cause. Up to 50 percent of people with diabetes will eventually develop neuropathy during the course of their disease. It can be “very painful, and the pain is frequently resistant to conventional treatments.” In fact, currently, there is no effective treatment for diabetic neuropathy. Clinicians rely on steroids, opiates, and antidepressants to try to mediate the suffering.

But, as I discuss in my video Curing Painful Diabetic Neuropathy, a remarkable study was published 20 years ago on the regression of diabetic neuropathy with a plant-based diet.”

Silly as it may sound removing all sugar from the diet and starting a weight management program that includes lots of vegetables, healthy fats and moderate protein can have a significant impact in diabetic foot neuropathy. It’s all about healing from the inside out when it comes to diabetic foot neuropathy. If you don’t have control on how you’re eating, the condition will become progressively worse.

In my practice I have a protocol that covers all facets of this condition. This includes a lifestyle medicine approach to dietary change to stop the worsening effects of diabetes and in some cases reversing diabetes completely.

In addition, detoxification protocols, vitamin therapies, and the amazing results that I see using the MLS Laser robot for nerve regeneration and reduction of inflammation is truly astonishing. Basically, I hit this debilitating condition from every possible angle which yields great outcomes.
